Sans que l’existence de Disappears soit pour autant remise en question, les 3/4 du groupe – soit Brian Case, Noah Leger et Jonathan van Erik – prennent un itinéraire bis sous le nom de FACS. Un premier album, intitulé Negative Houses, verra le jour le 30 mars via le label Trouble In Mind. Deux premier extraits, Skylarking et Primary, se découvrent ci-dessous.

« Chicago’s great Disappears went on hiatus last year after bassist Damon Carruesco wanted to focus on his art and design work. The remaining members of the band — Brian Case, Noah Leger and Jonathan van Herik — decided to carry on as FACS. In doing so their sound changed, more atmospheric, darker, minimal. Their debut album, Negative Houses, is out March 30 via Trouble in Mind which was made at Chicago’s Electrical Audio with John Congleton. Since the record was finished, van Herik also parted ways and Case has switched to guitar making room for Alianna Kalaba (formerly of We Ragazzi) on bass. » Brooklyn Vegan
