☓ FÁTIMA (doom/grunge/fuzz – Paris)
« Le truc qui frappe instantanément chez FÁTIMA, c’est le timbre éraillé du chanteur. Le nom est sur toutes les lèvres : “Kurt Cobain est de retour ?” C’est forcément un peu assumé, tant le son du trio rappelle de fait le Nirvana de Bleach, quand le groupe n’était pas encore tout à fait grunge ni plus vraiment tout à fait punk. Même si c’est un peu plus varié que ça et Fátima n’hésite pas à aller piocher ailleurs sur certaines terres occultes où on adore Satan, dans le doom où la reverb sur la guitare fait plusieurs kilomètres ou même dans le post-punk avec cette basse “liquide” des premiers disques de The Cure. On sent un travail de composition sérieux et une certaine aisance instrumentale qui promet de bonnes choses quand tout ça aura mûri un peu plus. »

If Dick Dale up and defected to Iceland and started a band with a bunch of dudes who worship Buzzoven and Crowbar.. Godchilla would be the mind-melting result.

☓ FALLOW (post metal – Aix en Provence)
Fallow is a metal band from Southern France formed in 2010 playing slow, heavy and psychedelic metal. They performed in 2016 a special show “Dharma” for church organ, band and ad lib acoustic instruments, in a protestant church. In 2017, they will release their second album “Trelu”, an album about witchcraft in Provence.
