Owen Gardner lui réaccorde et a customisé sa guitare de façon à jouer entre les tons comme La Monte Young\, Josh Eastman ou James Tenney savent l’écrire. Un saxophone sauvage prend parfois place en mlieu et place des guitares et basses chevauchant un free jazz contemporain nourrit de Sun Ra ou Art Ensemble of Chicago. \nAprès un passage remarqué au festival mutant Ideal Trouble en 2018\, HORSE LORDS annonce un nouvel album « The Common Task » à sortir chez Nothern Spy (Shilpa Ray\, The Necks\, Arto Lindsay…).
