Car ce disque parle des changements brutaux mêlés de tension qui traversent la vie de l’artiste. Passer chaque nuit une bonne partie de l’année dans une nouvelle ville\, se trouver constamment entre deux emplois… Il est donc parfaitement logique que « New Kind of Cross » traite explicitement des thèmes de l’isolement\, de l’introversion et parfois même de la colère.
