DESCRIPTION:Lun 06/11 : Fred Raspail @ Trokson\nhttp://www.fredraspail.com\n\ndirty fench folk songs\n\n\nWHO’S THIS GUY ?\nFred Raspail is a one man band french singer songwriter.\nHe’s been playin for ten years all over France\, working with the famous agency PBOX (nouvelle vague\, mickey 3D…) and for some years he’s exporting successfully his music to other countries.\nAfter touring Quebec several times between 2003 and 2007\, he’s actually working since 2011 on tours all over Europe :\n– 15 gigs in England in 2012\n– over 60 gigs all around Germany in 1 year !\nHe is marrying in his songs french expression and a kind of wild folk : audiences are quickly seduced by this way of being\, keeping a french touch to a rock’n’roll music… \nBeing alone on stage allows him to play in every condition :\non huge stages with famous French singers (Zenith Zaz’s 2011 tour for example where he played for example at Tony Garnier Lyon\, in front of over 5000 people)\non living room shows with the most minimal technical conditions and in front of the smallest audiences ever… \nAbout the music… \nFred Raspail is now releasing a suit of records called « French Ghost Songs »\n« My Baby left me » 7 inch limited 2 tracks edition in JANUARY 2013\n« French Ghost Songs Part 2 »\, 12 tracks record\, to be released \nHe’s singing failed loves\, old stories\, ghosts\, leaning sometimes on myths and legends such as Ulysse\, der Ratten Fänger von Hameln and many more…\nBut most of it\, he’s always tryin to build a simple popular folk rock music (built on stage with loops ) combined with some oldies sounds… The right way between a dancing voodoo music and a quiet atmosphere…\nAll of this linked to a deep and dark voice brought him to be sometimes called « the French Johnny Cash » \, in Germany for example…
