Black Emperor\, Kristin Hersh.. \n⇟ GOLD (blackened dark rock – Rotterdam)\nPost punk orchestral ? Black metal post rock ? Avant-garde dark rock ? Tout commence sur un « You Too Must Die ». Porté par une voix mystique et féminine\, GOLD est un groupe clairement anticonformiste avec une approche d’outsider. Depuis la sortie de « Optimist » (2017)\, le sextet multiplie les festivals (ROADBURN 2019\, HELLFEST 2019\, DESERTFEST 2017). Egalement des dates avec New Model Army. Autant présent sur la scène sludge/stoner/doom\, que post rock\, rock ambiant\, hardcore/metal. Un peu comme si Emma Ruth Rundle sortait soudainement un album très orienté sludge. On dénote également des sonorités qui nous rappellent Myrkur. Le nouvel album en date\, « Why Aren’t You Laughing? » (Artoffact Records\, Avril 2019)\, a été produit par Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost\, Grave Pleasures).
