🥀 POINT MORT (post black hardcore & ambiant – Paris)

Point Mort est un groupe issu de la scène post-metal et post hardcore française (Valve, Nesseria, In the Guise of Men…). Ses membres s’associent pour explorer de nouveaux horizons musicaux, et délivrer un genre musical hargneux et hypnotisant, loin des carcans de codes et de genres… Ils s’approprient leur unité tout en conservant l’idée que la perception est, et demeure unique, personnelle. En 2017, ils sortent « Look at the Sky » leur premier EP, enregistré avec Sylvain Biguet (masterisé par Nick Zampiello), qui révèle déjà pleinement le potentiel du groupe. Enregistré live en une seule journée, les cinq titres libèrent une violence brute et dessinent une errance labyrinthique déroutante.Très rapidement, les chroniques élogieuses se succèdent et le groupe se fait programmer, sur la Maintstage du
Motocultor Open Air 2017, sur la tournée du Brutal Fest 2018 (Cuba), puis aux cotés de groupes confirmés (Hierophant, Impure Wilhelmina, Anaal Nathrakh, All that Remains…).
Point Mort, c’est une entité unique et multiple, dont la musique marche le long de la frontière ténue entre la vie et la mort, entre transcendance et introspection. Sa vibration traduit un instant en suspens, un soupir en flottement. Son espace sonore se répand sans limites, son cri est sanguin. Un point d’orgue. Un Point Mort.

Drawing on his influences in the extreme currents (black metal, post hardcore, post rock …), Nature Morte doesn’t fear any boundaries and installs insidiously over its pieces a climate which is perfectly his own in the midst of his completely assumed influences. The relevance of the atmospheric instrumentations majestically raises the riffs and rhythmic metal to take the listener to virgin soundscapes. A real fresh and powerful experience offered to all metal lovers. And when we know that the line up is composed of 3 long-time friends, we understand why their music shows such a good cohesion.
